AeroCarbon was created by OOO Znamensky Composite Factory in Kaliningrad region in 2016. The main goal of the project was to create a breakthrough technology for composite window profile production with the highest energy saving and fire resistance rates. In 2017, a new technology for creation of an innovative, ultrastrong foamed composite material based on carbon nanostructures for structural profiles was developed and patented. In 2018, the project underwent a full examination of the FSBI Fund for the Promotion of the Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere and received a grant of 15 million rubles under the Commercialization program.
In 2019, the AeroCarbon project attracted a large foreign construction company as a co-investor. The result of cooperation will be the construction of a plant for innovative window profiles production with a total cost of 800 million rubles, in 2019-2020 in the Kaliningrad region. 80% of the production will be exported to the countries of the European Union, the Middle East and the USA.
